Job Description:
Organization Profile: CASA of Marion County is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote, educate and advocate for children in the foster care system who have been abused and neglected. Our mission is fulfilled through the recruitment, training and supervision of community volunteers who serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) and work to ensure these children are provided with a safe, nurturing and permanent home.
Responsibilities:

Volunteer Training, Recruitment, Screening, Scheduling and Supervision

Case Management: Coordinate, Document, Assign Volunteers, and Maintain Files

Update social media accounts and participate in fundraising events.

Attend meetings as a representative of the organization.

Attend and participate in court hearings.
-
Maintain various databases.
-
Operate General Office Equipment including Computers, Printers, Multi-line telephones, etc.
Qualifications Expected:
-
Minimum of bachelor’s degree - Preference will be given to individuals who have a degree in Social Work or other related field or have experience in managing case work and caseloads and child welfare.

Exhibits professionalism.

Prefer experience with volunteers and families in crisis.

Ability to travel within the state, as needed.

Ability to work outside of regular working hours.

Ability to effectively train others.

Ability to take direction and work autonomously and prioritize effectively.

Ability to work on simultaneous projects and manage time efficiently.

Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms.

Ability to formulate action based on written information.

Ability to self-check and proofread own work.

Strong Capabilities in Microsoft Word, including creating professional correspondence and reports.

Strong Capabilities in Canva or Adobe

Strong Capabilities in Google Docs, including scheduling in shared calendars, creating professional correspondence, and maintaining contacts.

Strong Organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to maintain filing

Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
